Last updated: 2026. These are standard booking terms; specific programs may carry additional conditions, which we state at the time of booking.
1. Who we are
Scarabee Travel is a Category-A Egyptian travel agency (Ministry of Tourism licence no. 284), 18 Shehaab St, Mohandessine, Giza, Egypt. "We", "us" and "our" refer to Scarabee Travel; "you" refers to the client.
2. Bookings & contract
A booking is confirmed once we have accepted your request in writing and received the required deposit. The person making the booking confirms they are authorised to do so on behalf of all named travellers and accepts these terms.
3. Prices & payment
Prices are quoted per the confirmed program and currency. A deposit is payable to confirm; the balance is due before travel, by the date stated on your confirmation. Prices may change until a booking is confirmed, and remain subject to correction of errors.
4. Changes by you or us
If you wish to change a confirmed booking we will do our best to accommodate it; changes may incur supplier and administration costs. If we must change a program (for operational, weather or safety reasons) we will offer the nearest reasonable alternative.
5. Cancellation
Cancellations are governed by our Cancellation Policy. Certain products (liveaboards, Nile cruises, flights, special permits) carry stricter, non-refundable terms which we state at booking.
6. Diving, desert & activity safety
Diving, freediving, desert and adventure activities carry inherent risks. You must disclose relevant medical conditions, hold the required certification for the activity, and follow the instructions of our guides and instructors. We may refuse or modify an activity on safety grounds.
7. Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and, for diving and certain activities, required — including medical, evacuation and (for divers) dive-specific cover.
8. Liability
We act with reasonable care in arranging and operating your trip. We are not liable for loss or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), including weather, closures, strikes, government action or acts of third-party suppliers, save as required by applicable law.
9. Complaints
If something is not right during your trip, tell your guide or our office immediately so we can put it right. Unresolved matters should be raised with us in writing within 28 days of returning.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Clients booking from the EU or UK may benefit from additional statutory protections for package travel; we will comply with applicable requirements for such sales.
This is a general standard and not legal advice; final terms are confirmed on your booking documents.
