Cancellation & Refunds.

How cancellations and refunds work, clearly.

Last updated: 2026. Indicative standard schedule; specific programs may differ and the terms on your confirmation always apply.

Deposits

A deposit confirms your booking and is generally non-refundable, as it secures supplier reservations on your behalf.

Standard cancellation schedule

For most land programs and dive packages, cancellation charges (as a percentage of the total) are typically:

Cruises, liveaboards, flights & permits

Nile cruises, liveaboards, flights and special permits usually carry stricter, often non-refundable terms set by the operator. We state these clearly at the time of booking.

Changes

Where possible we will amend rather than cancel a booking; supplier and administration costs may apply.

If we cancel

If we must cancel for operational or safety reasons, we will offer the nearest reasonable alternative or a refund of recoverable amounts.

Force majeure

Where events beyond reasonable control prevent travel, refunds are limited to amounts we can recover from suppliers; we will always try to protect your money and offer alternatives.

Insurance

We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation, so you are protected if you must cancel for a covered reason.

This is a general standard and not legal advice; your confirmation terms prevail.
